Aimee is a registered Counselling Psychologist with the HPCSA. She completed her Bachelor's degree at Monash University first in Public health and double majored in Psychology and Child and Youth Care Work. Aimee completed her Honours degree at the South African College of Applied Psychology and her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Aimee understands that starting therapy can be a daunting experience and believes in using a gentle and boundaries approach with her patients. She works from a psychodynamic perspective which involves changing problematic behaviours, thoughts, and feelings by exploring unconscious motivations.

Aimee has trained in various contexts such as Helen Joseph Hospital, Charlotte Maxeke Hospital, Edenvale Hospital, The Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation, The Phelophepa Health Care Train, The Johannesburg Parent and Child Counselling Centre, The Ububele Educational and Psychotherapy Trust, and Alexandra Township. Working in these contexts has afforded her the training and experience in working with communities, teachers, inmates, refugees, infants, inmates, mothers, parents, children, adolescents, and adults.

Aimee holds a special interest in educational assessments, working with children and trauma. She aims to empower her patients, encourage them to find hope and create opportunities to enhance their unique strengths and capabilities.

Aimee believes in the importance of infant and maternal mental health and thus guiding her patients towards fostering and enhancing attachment relationships. Thus, she is also a trained Parent-Infant Psychotherapist (Ububele in association with Tavistock Clinic London) and a member of the Institute of Psychodynamic Child Psychotherapy.
